Kinesiology
What is Kinesiology?
‘The body is intricately simple and simply intricate. If you produce the right measure for the right condition, you get the right response.’
– George Goodheart who recognised the value of biofeedback technique of manual muscle testing.
Kinesiology is a non-invasive body therapy that utilizes muscle testing, acupressure, and acupuncture points together with meridian energy to assess, align, and correct the body. The muscle testing feedback tells the story of how the body is expressing itself. These indicators provide the practitioner with the tools to discern the best avenues to be followed for the client in treatment. It is a therapy that targets the person, focusing on more than just the physical body but environmental and emotional states.
Kinesiology is the broad umbrella under which a variety of different modalities fall; with each, there is a specific approach to facilitate a way to work easily with a treatment plan for the client.
How does Kinesiology work?
Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body’s energy systems and applies various techniques to restore balance and health.

Access Bars
What is Access Bars?
Access Bars was developed by Gary M. Douglas during the 1990’s and is a methodology that stimilutes 32 points located on the head.
These points align to aspects related to different areas of life: beliefs, attitudes, emotions, ideas, and decisions. By lightly touching and holding the touch using these points, a release of physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual obstruction can be achieved, thus relieving stress, assisting with clarity, and improving quality of life.
It is a hands-on yet non invasive practice, which I have found benefits my clients.
Bowen Therapy
What is Bowen Therapy?
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique that promotes healing and pain relief by stimulating the body’s fascia and natural responses.
How does Bowen Therapy work?
In clinical terms: The therapy mechanically breaks up adhesions or crystallisation of the fascia. It stimulates the nerves running up the spine and through the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This release from adhesions allows information to travel in the correct and most direct way throughout the fascia in order to access the entire body. The gentle activation of the nerves within the muscles, tendons, and ligaments that are located along the spine and around other key areas of the body also uses the nervous system to help strengthen the right messages.
The Fascia and how it works:
Fascia is fibrous connective tissue made up of collagen cells and fluid. It is often described as a spider web or a sheet of fibre that holds our body in shape. It surrounds every organ, blood vessel, bone, muscle, and nerve fibre. Being in touch with every other system of the body, the fascia becomes the perfect medium to send messages throughout the whole body. It is designed to stretch and move with us and is instrumental in proper motor coordination enabling us to move and live comfortably. It is a water-based communications system that travels at a speed of 1207 km/h as opposed to the central nervous system, which travels at just over 241 km/h.
Bowen therapy gives the body an opportunity to change gears from Fight, Flight, and Freeze (sympathetic nervous system) to Rest, Recovery, and Recuperation (parasympathetic nervous system).
What can Bowen Therapy help with?
Bowen Therapy can address:

AromaTouch
Why does DoTerra AromaTouch work?
The human olfactory system has a profound impact on our emotions and memories due to the direct connections between our senses and the brain’s limbic system, which is responsible for processing emotions and memories. Because of this intimate connection, scents can trigger powerful emotional responses and bring back vivid memories. Essential oils are particularly effective in leveraging this natural response to influence our well-being, as their scents can evoke specific emotional states, enhance mood, and foster a sense of calm or revitalisation.
The DoTerra AromaTouch Massage Technique harnesses this concept by using eight carefully selected essential oils in a specific sequence designed to provide holistic benefits to the body and mind. Developed by Dr. David K. Hill, the AromaTouch Technique follows precise guidelines regarding the dosage and application of these oils to ensure both safety and efficacy. This structured approach allows the body to fully experience the therapeutic effects of the essential oils, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and enhancing overall well-being.
